Journals From A 2003 Thru-Hike of the Appalachian Trail (by Loony)

Entry #33 – April 24, 2003

Long day again today – 16 miles. (Yesterday was 16 miles, too.) Nothing too remarkable about the hike. We did see a lot of wildflowers, though. The hillsides were filled with white trilliums. We also saw purple (well, more maroon, really) trilliums and some off-white with purple inside. We’re at Roaring Fork Shelter tonight. Mello Yello, Jane, Hepcat, Radar, George & crew and some others are here. A full house with everyone piling up to get into Hot Springs.
