Journals From A 2003 Thru-Hike of the Appalachian Trail (by Loony)
Entry #121 – August 17, 2003
8:05 PM – A great day of hiking. A beautiful sunrise on Bromley Mtn, good weather with a cool breeze, nice views and pretty easy terrain. Did about 22 miles today. Surprising, cause I never expected we’d be doing 20’s in Vermont! Looks like there’s some harder stuff coming up though.
We’re tenting @ Greenwall Shelter. Just as we finished dinner, it started raining. No storm, though, so that’s good. If we’d have known it was going to rain though we’d have stayed in the shelter. Instead we’re crammed into our 1.5 person tent. Plus we had tacos for dinner, with hot peppers!! Should be a restless night – Oy!! Into Wallingford tomorrow for a mail drop.
